"Ummeedo wali dhoop, sunshine wali aasha." (hope tinged sunshine, sunshine like hope)Isn't the new Coca-Cola ad just lovely?
There is a fecund sense of optimism the advent of a new year ushers, dont you think? No matter what transpired in the year that went by, the worst and the ugliest, every year, this time around - somehow the wind concocts a new melody , which for some reason we would never know smells of an acute optimism, carries undertones of a lustrous hope and emulates the strings of an utopia we seem to never be able to let go of.
I would rather bask in that tomfoolery, if tomfoolery is what it takes for me to paint the reticent sunshine, that glides into my window, in a yellow that looked somewhat orange and talks to me of the fortuity of being here if anything at all, alive and living. Walking on sunshine swathed boulevards of optimism that drips from souls who know what it is to live and believe.
The heart is such a cunning little minx. It will spin and juggle and re-sketch and buoy the same things over and over again, and make it look as though every time it came up with something new, something different. And swimming about those shores we will lure ourselves towards the unknown with the anticipation of new beginnings and the joy those new beginnings will bring.
Happy 2012 everyone.

Yes, there is something about the dawn of the new year...makes you feel its rays tingling you with a fresh new warmth....
You write still like the pretty, little gal in love I began reading here some years ago...feels nice to see you here more often and may 2012 bring you all the joys so that you may not really miss this space and yet keep your romance with words alive:-)
hugs n muaaaaaaaaah!
i just loved the ad :D
Happy 2012 C. I am so excited for you... February is just around the corner :-))))
Can you post a picture of your belly? Pretty please??
I so agree with Suruchi. Btw, how r u feeling now? Got to know tht u r due in Feb. :) God bless!
True, it's all the same, but what to say of the heart, it shall always be lured by new covers and different angles. Hope, I think, is a thing of the heart, not of the mind, spun like a constant yarn.
Beautiful post. Wish you are very happy new year and life ahead.
Cheers,
Blasphemous Aesthete
If hope was fool's gold, then the yellow metal would just be the metal under crust.
The post's strongest corner stands in light of the picture it gives about the heart. The heart that makes people feel new about run-over past emotions or more so 'notions'.
The grandeur of the abstracts that the post reflects and suggests as to be invading around the new year's eve are universal, true.
However, that is up until the third para, when the feeling of belonging to the 'Optimistic' world gathers support as the line '..souls who know what it is to live and believe.' is presented.
This marks the lateral theme merging into the central theme of being hopeful by oneself to the thought that there are a others around who belong to the same genre.
And this in essence, fulfills the whole idea of hope and optimism of which 'togetherness' is an irrefutable part.
This piece of literature may have been inspired by an Ad. but it achieves more than inspiring singular souls, it achieves in making people identify with a joy that is rare but stronger than any other way.
In love with this one, nana.
2012 Joys.
Hope pe toh duniye tiki hai babah. 2011 was by far the crappiest year ever for me. And I'm just going to assume that since it cannot get any worse, it will only get better! Keep the faith intact. Cheers! :-)
