Are you crying? Please don't. I know things have not gone the way they should have, they way you planned. The way you saw it unfold in your mind. They did not keep their word. They were not who you thought them to be. You were hurt, disappointed, scarred. Life has not been easy. And I want to help you.
I don't want to be preachy but will you let me show you something? Its a beautiful dawn, you need to see. Not just that, there is something else I want to show you too.
You see that man over there, picking at a rag? He's got cancer. He wants his daughter to study and become something in life, so he does not make her work with him like his friends will tell him to. The little girl wants to be a doctor so she can treat her dad. He's scared what will happen to his blind wife, after he's gone for he knows he will never have the hundred thousand bucks the doctor asked him to get for the surgery. Those tears need an angel to make them halt.
Look at that girl standing by that door, lined with moss and lichen, reeking with the stink of urine and vomit and dead hearts. Would you believe she is hardly thirteen? They say she was stolen from across the borders for an outstanding price. Amidst those tears that stay afloat at the brim of her eyes sway dreams of being a teacher someday, so she can help girls like her and save them from what happened to her.
If you turn your head now you will see an old couple. They lost their teenage son in an accident. He was out with his friends when he met a friendly stranger who offered them a ride to some swanky place for a drink. Little did he know, the stranger was drunk beyond his mind, who was about to ram the car into a truck in moments from then and get him killed. The couple standing nearby lost their son too. To an extortionist who kidnapped their sixteen year old boy and did not know the child was a victim of chronic seizures, and was heartless enough to let him die when he had a fatal one while he was held captive.
You can come in now, I can see you are shivering. Have you stopped crying? I know. That's why I wanted you to look outside. Get some sleep and let your thoughts simmer.
