You and I,
against this mundane apathetic world.
Let’s not amend ourselves,
And get lost in the trivial minutiae
like the materialist them propose.
Let’s not spend the night,
Getting the wardrobe ready
for tomorrow - assembling, sighing.
Let’s just play scrabble instead,
where I can beat you again,
and you can gripe and hint
we play monopoly instead;
cz you love being the bank,
deep into the night.
Let’s wake up into the dawn
and rush not for the chores.
Let’s not brush,
Let’s not cook,
Let’s not think;
of the papers – the dead lines – of this – of that.
Let’s make love instead.
As the rain splatters petite crystals of surprise,
On our closed windows of glass,
While they try to peek through our curtains
and giggle to each other - at the conspiracies,
a sinister you and an evil me
have designed for today.
The outside world will have to wait.
P.S : Writing something positive after a long time. Feels good. I hope you guys like it.
